Overview:
As a Category Product Manager, You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our product lines within the FMCG sector.
You will analyze new supplier leads, communicate with suppliers, onboard Suppliers onto our Pactap`s portal, maintain supplier relationships, coordinate with the sales team, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality standards are met through vendor visits.

Role & Responsibilities :
Analyze New Supplier Leads:
- Evaluate and analyze incoming supplier quotations and inquiries received from the sales team.
- Assess the feasibility and potential of new supplier partnerships in line with company objectives.
Supplier Communication and Onboarding:
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to understand their product lines and capabilities.
- Facilitate the onboarding process of supplier product lines onto our Pactap.com portal.
- Ensure familiarity with the cost sheets of the products to make informed decisions during onboarding.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong and healthy relationships with existing suppliers.
- Cultivate rapport to encourage the generation of more leads and inquiries from suppliers.
- Address any concerns or issues promptly to ensure smooth collaboration.
Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the Pactap sales team to generate demand for onboarded products.
- Provide necessary support and information to the sales team regarding product specifications, pricing, and availability.
Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement with suppliers, including pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.
- Ensure contracts are mutually beneficial and aligned with company objectives.
Vendor Visits and Quality Assurance:
- Planned and conducted regular vendor visits to supplier facilities.
- Ensure that the quality and standards of the factory meet our requirements and adhere to industry standards.
- Address any quality issues or deviations promptly to maintain product integrity.
Qualification :
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing & sourcing, preferably in FMCG Packaging purchase.
- B.Tech. in Printing and packaging. PGDM preferred.
- Proven experience in operations and fulfillment, preferably within the FMCG packaging industries.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier leads and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier communication and relationship management.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, particularly sales and procurement.
- Solid understanding of cost sheets and pricing structures within the packaging industry.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits and supplier meetings as required.
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards.
